What’s new in WellTracking 6.7

  • Magnetic declination and meridian convergence have been added to 'Source well drilling data' report.
  • 'Editing magnetic correction tool' has been updated. Now it allows you to calculate magnetic correction and meridian convergence values both for all pads of selected field, and for separate selected pad, using isogones.
  • Minor fixes and enhancements of existing functionality.

  • Added support for ArcGIS 10.8.
  • 'Preliminary pad data' report allows now to calculate the Drilling order and Skidding of drilling rig parameters.
  • 'Create wellhead' tool allows to create project wellhead on well sequence without prior creating of project target-point.   
  • 3D analysis tool 'Boundaries intersections' calculates coordinate of intersection point of wellbore and mine take.

This minor version introduces minor fixes and enhancements in functionality of the following tools:

What's new in WellTracking 6.0

The new WellTracking 6.0 version has been developed to support stationary and mobile drilling.

Updated tools:

 

-      New  WELL_SEQUENCE feature class, related with catwalks and wellheads has been created;

-      WELL_ROW standalone table and DSR feature class have been deleted. The rows from these tables have been transferred to WELL_SEQUENCE attribute table;

-      STATUS field (type LONG) has been added to LICENSE AREA feature class. By this field LICENSE_AREA_STATUS domain has been specified (domain values: code -1 – unknown; code 0 - archive, code 1 - active);

-          GEOTYPE (type LONG) field has been added to WELL_TOP feature class, by this field WELL_TOP_GEOTYPE domain has been specified (domain values: code -1 – unknown, code 0 – formation top intercept, code 1 – formation bottom intercept).

 

·  Edit geodatabase structure tool:

-      now available for users with Administrator rights only;

-      requirements to mandatory elements of geodatabase structure have been relaxed;

-      added support for multiple SDE schemes.

 

·  System login:

-     system login is now made after updating the geodatabase structure only.

 

·  Create wellhead tool:

-          new option to create wellhead with catwalk and to locate it on the well sequence has been added

-     new option to automatically put and edit flange and rotor marks of the first wellhead for the second and following wellheads on well sequence has been added.

 

·  Wells correction tool:

-      new option to relocate wellhead with its catwalk;

-          new Field name column has been added to field measurement table.

 

·  Dialog of Report forms administration tool has been updated.

 

·  Create well sequence and Update well sequence tools:

-     new option to create and update well sequence without catwalks.

 

·  Create well sequences geoprocessing tool:

-          it is now possible to create well sequence both with catwalk (for WellTracking versions below 6.0) and without catwalk

·        

·  Geoprocessing tools:

-      new option to select geodatabase has been added.

 

·   New formation intercept point has been added and so functionality of following tools working with formation intercepts - Formation intercepts input, Delete formation intercepts, and Formation intercepts report has been changed.

 

 

  • Reports:

-      report forms have been updated.

 

·   Functionality of Edit formations tool,  Merge geodatabases tool and Display WellTracking layer settings tool group has been enhanced.

 

What's new in WellTracking 5.0

New tools:

 

 

  • The Paths divergence – a new tool in the 3D analyses tool group for calculating distance between adjacent wellbore paths;

 

 

 

 

Additional functionality:

 

  • Support for ArcGIS 10.3.1;

  • Support features editing history.

 

Updated tools:

 

- the MERIDIAN_CONVERGENCE field (DOUBLE type) to the WELLBORE_GEOMETRY attribute table;

- feature classes and features editing history tables;

- updates in the WELLBORE table:

- added fields for Pilot number (PILOT_NUM, type TEXT) and Emergency wellbore number (EMERGENCY_WELLBORE_NUM, type TEXT);

- the following geotypes have been added to the WELLBORE table to the STATUS field (the field type LONG):

  Idle (code 8), Injecting (code 9), Monitoring (code 10);

- the geotypes list (Mine take, License area) has been added;

 

- now it is possible to work with the well sequence that has no catwalk;

- the default values for the well sequence (0.40 multiplied by value of the square side of the pad project geometry) and the catwalk; length (0.10 multiplied by the well sequence length) have been specified.

 

- the target-point geometry value can now be taken from the map layers;

- an option to specify the buffer zone around the project wellbore has been added;

- an option to verify the formation and the target-point depths discrepancy has been added;

- numbering of the pilot and the emergency wellbores has been added.

 

- can now work with MS Excel tables;

- added option for constructing the wellbore geometries based on the meridian convergence value;

- added option for constructing the wellheads without creating the pad area;

 

- negative depth values supporting;

- added Meridian convergence parameter for the wellbore geometry calculation.

 

- the wellbores with the Project status can now be tied.

 

- the system coordinates access permission rules have been added.

 

  • 3D viewer tool can now be run even if any other data processing tool, including 3D analyses tools, is being used.

 

- a system coordinate selection parameter has been added;

Load inclination data geoprocessing tool:  

- added Meridian convergence parameter;

 

  • Administration:

- Change configuration

Feature editing:

- the following new parameters have been added: Default well sequence length, Default catwalk length, Buffer for target-point, Buffer for formation depth, Save features editing history;

Wellbore geometry:

- added option to select methods of filling in null azimuth values;

- added option to specify new methods of the wellbore geometry creation: Method of the curvature radius calculation and Balance tangential method;

Note that in previous WellTracking versions the parameters set as default were used.

Load archive wells:

- added Allow wells creation without pad construction parameter;

 

Groups administration:  

- added list of system coordinates used for work with the 3D analyses tools;

 

- added controls for searching the appropriate wellbore location variants: Start, Pause, Stop;

 

  • Double table Select feature:

- the table is now shown as a modeless dialog;

- added option to show the selected feature on the map and position to the selected feature from the tree list of the related features regardless of whether this feature locates in or beyond the current extent;  

- added option to highlight the selected feature on the map.

 

  • The Enter nodes coordinates tool dialog has been updated, now it is possible to digitize features;

 

 

What's new in WellTracking 4.2

Additional functionality:

 

- now the project wellbore can be tied to the pad area;

- a new Wellbore purpose parameter has been added;

- an option of adding several target-points located in different formations has been implemented.

 

- now the project wellbore can be deleted if it has wellbore geometry.

 

 

- now it is possible to discard the magnetic correction value in case if the magnetic azimuth is used in the Gyroscope measurement files.

 

- a new Suspended status has been added for well and wellbore.

 

- a new Suspended value has been added to the list of the well and its wellbores statuses.

 

- the performance when working with paths of more than 1000 nodes has been improved.

What's new in WellTracking 4.1

New tools:

 

The Project wellbore geometry correction tool provided to evaluate the project wellbore location accuracy in case of drilling near the already existing wellbores.  

 

Additional functionality:

 

- the Rotor mark and Flange mark parameters have been added  

- an option of changing the drilling order has been added

 

- the Rotor mark, Flange mark, and double type fields have been added to the WELL attribute table

 

- new loadable formats have been added

 

- the coordinate systems from the Coordinate systems administration list have been added

 

•The automatic status change for objects related to the wellbore geometry after its loading to the geodatabase has been implemented

• The accelerated input of objects’ names by several characters has been implemented

• Minor fixes and enhancements.

What's new in WellTracking 4.0

New tools:

 

Display WellTracking layer settings tool group (Setting layer symbology, Loading layer symbology, Filtration, etc.)

 Additional functionality:

 

 - the WellTrackingToCItemInfo table for storage of the layers symbology and filtration parameters has been added

 - the list of the domain values for the target-points layer has been extended to t12

 - the Mine_Take geotype for the License area layer has been added

 - the Description field has been added to the USERS table

 

  • The Tie wells tool: an option of selecting the location of the tie point of well to pad has been added

 

 

 

 

  • A sample geodatabase with the updated structure has been created

 

  • Reports: a new option of adding the general map of the exploration area has been added to the MS Word reports
