What’s new in CoGIS 5.0:

Catalog

• New design

- The map catalog look has been fully reworked and redesigned.

• Favorite maps

- Selected maps and folders can now be added to Favorites list and be always shown at the top of the catalog in case if the Favorites selection method has been checked.

•  Main page

-Selected maps and folders can now be shown on separate page of totally new design. All maps now contain extended description and large thumbnail picture.

• Map description page

- The map description page has been fully redesigned - the map description is now shown on separate page, and each description element is shown in separate stripe of the page.

Interactive map

•  New design

The interactive map has been fully reworked and redesigned. All known tools are still available but their look and location on the map have changed. The map window now occupies entire display screen and the tool buttons and dialogs are shown on top of the map.

• Object’s identification dialog

-Additional information about the object (related objects, attached files, coordinates) now locates in separate tabs of the identification dialog.

- Combination of tools and their location on map can now be specified for each map separately.

• Extended support for geoprocessing services parameters

- The list of supported geoprocessing services parameters has been extended. For example, support for parameters consisting of number or string arrays has been added.

• Grouping attributes in object’s identification dialog using xml

- Attributes can now be grouped both using html and xml. Groups set via xml are now shown not only in the identification preview mode, but also in the attributes editing mode.

What’s new in CoGIS 4.0:

Constructor

Hiding objects for layers without specified filters

- Objects of the layer that has no specified filters can now be hidden by default, so only filtered objects will be shown on map in this case.

Showing group layers in legend by default

- Map legend can now be set to show group layers expanded by default.

Auto saving changes by default

- Two options of saving changes in map are now supported by default: automatically or upon user's confirmation.

- Search parameters can now be saved as template to further open it by pressing the quick search button located on the Search panel.

Image gallery

- Images attached to map objects can now be shown in the gallery located in the bottom part of the map.

• External links in catalog of interactive maps

- Links to external recourses can now be added to catalog of interactive maps.

- For example, you can now automatically fill in the feature attribute with the name of the user created this feature

• Automatic topology correction of neighboring features

- Now you can automatically control position of neighboring features to avoid their intersection or overlay

• The number of related features is not automatically saved to feature attributes.

• Discarding service layer in map

- While setting the map service you can now specify to discard specific layers in your map using the “-” operator. For example, if you do not need layers 1 and 3 to be displayed on you map, specify “-1,3” in the map service settings.

- Now you can search layer in map legend by its name.
