Converting MapInfo data with TAB Reader

 

 

TAB Reader allows and provides tools for importing MapInfo data to ArcGIS, this includes:

 

• MapInfo workspaces (.wor) can be converted to ArcGIS map documents (.mxd)

• MapInfo tables (.tab or .mif) can be converted to ArcGIS geodatabase feature classes

• Texts can be converted to annotation feature classes

• MapInfo symbols can be saved as representations or layer files

 

Conversion tools can be used both in ArcMap and ArcCatalog.

 

Converting data in ArcMap.

 

In ArcMap you have a TAB Reader toolbar containing all the conversion tools:
