The Image services are used for adding layers containing images to the map (for example, rasters or satellite images).
To set your image service, fill in the following fields and specify below options:
Service name – the name of the image service describing its purpose
displayed in the list of services. The default name is automatically defined
from the link to the service. Press Edit
if you want to edit the service name.
Service link – the
path to the image service. The Go to
service page button
is provided to quickly go to the service parameters page stored on ArcGIS
for Server.
Layer name – the name of the image shown in the map legend.
Group to layer – for your convenience the layers of one service can be grouped to the group layer. To do this enter the name of the layer in the Group to layer field (note to repeat this in settings of all services supposed to be grouped).
Tools – the set of tools provided for setting options of using the service in the map application:
Use in map
– specify, whether the service should be displayed on the map. To
show the service on the map, press this button, to hide it - press
the button again.
Use in legend
– specify, whether the service layers should
be displayed in the Map legend
tab. To show the service layer in the tab, press this button, to hide
it - press the button again.
Settings – press this button
to open the dialog with additional service settings.
Allow custom coloring – specify, whether you allow users
to customize their own design of the service layers on the map. Based
on this setting the Layer
color setting tool in
the map layer context menu will be enabled or hidden. Press this button
to allow users to customize their service layer color settings and
press it again it you do not want to allow this option.
Service layers visibility
– this setting allows to specify the default representation of your
service layers. To align the layers visibility with settings specified
in the service, select the By
default
option. To show all layers
select Show
all

to hide all layers select Hide
all
.
Opacity
– specify the service layers opacity level by
default.
